PERSONAL RESEARCH 

My research focuses on the history of biological sciences in the19th-century. Specifically, Richard Owen (1804-1892) and how the foundation of the Natural History Museum affected his scienctific method. I am also interested in wider scientific networks particularly in London.

VOLUNTARY WORK 

I am currently a collections volunteer at Gilbert White's House & Gardens, under Kimberly James, I catalogue their Natural History collections and restore their taxidermy collections when needed. I also write for their blog on science history topics, as well as helping out with events and general tasks. (2022-ongoing) 

I am currently a volunteer with The Friends of Crystal Palace Dinosaurs, under Sarah Jayne. (2023-ongoing)

I am currently a volunteer with the REME Museum, transcribing and digitising oral history recordings and their correspondence collections under curator Richard Davies. (2021-ongoing)

I am currently a volunteer at the Natural History Museum, digitising & rehousing ephemera related to hsitoric meteor falls under Dr. Natasha Almeida (2024-ongoing) 

I have previously volunteered with the National Oceanography Centre, under Dr. Tammy Horton, cataloguing their discovery collection wet specimens. (2017-2020)

I have previously volunteered at Barts Pathology Museum, aiding in specimen organisation. (2019)

I have previously hosted a table about the artistry and ethics in taxidermy, exhibiting my own work at the Royal Veterinary College for their event "Animal Anatomy Art Private View" photos of which can be seen here. (27/3/2017)

I have completed the practical four-day Fluid Preservation Course under Simon Moore and the practical "Taxidermy Conservation Technology for Biological Specimens" also under Simon Moore. (2017 & 2018)

I have done several practical classes with Second Creation Taxidermy, including body casting, taxidermy techniques for fish (including airbrushing, skinning, drying techniques, etc.) and taxidermy restoration. (2017)
